Making Learning Opportunities Possible

What it means to be literate in the 21st Century is about much more than just reading and writing — it is about how we communicate in society and how we prepare for a changing world.

The demands of higher-skilled jobs, a growing digital divide and multi-generational and multi-cultural workplaces change our communities and our lives. Literacy skills help us greet change with confidence.

The OLC prepares Ontario for change by making adult learning opportunities possible.

We gather intelligence to advise literacy policy and programming. We partner with business, labour, settlement and academic communities to promote Learning for Work, Learning for Life and Learning for Families. We work closely with our literacy partners to build field capacity.
