The scope of the OLC’s work includes research and resource development, policy analysis and guidance, government relations, knowledge exchange, as well as convening and strategic partnership development.

In completing this work, the OLC participates in four major activities – Creating Awareness, Government Relations, Research and Resource Development as well as acting as a Communicator and Convener.

Joining international, national, provincial, regional and local partners to form an integrated, strategic approach to knowledge-generation, the OLC works to provide opportunities, in which the literacy field can share best practices, successfully participate in government initiatives, create innovative ideas, gather together and share this collected wisdom.
