The OLC’s current Labour Market Literacy Initiative involves gathering information on regional labour markets across the province. This initiative aims to enhance and increase participation and investment in workplace skills development through collaboration with partners such as employers, unions, training providers, and community organizations.

The OLC facilitates partnerships for coordinated provincial action to support workforce and workplace literacy in Ontario. The OLC also convenes Labour Market Literacy Stakeholders to participate in conferences and on panels to promote workforce and workplace literacy in Ontario. Currently, the OLC organizes a Strategic Partnerships Panel for workshops across Canada relating to Labour Market Literacy. For more information on this panel, contact olc@on.literacy.ca.

The OLC continues to include the perspectives of workforce literacy providers and encourage links between workforce literacy and workplace literacy programming.
