The Business Sector Relations initiative actively engages and manages relationships with key members of Ontario’s business community for the purposes of developing private sector champions and a business to business model for marketing Learning for Work initiatives, including Workplace Literacy programming. Understanding the literacy needs and requirements of these businesses directly impact their ability to compete in a global marketplace with an employment-ready workforce.

Developing relationships with the Business Sector helps the OLC build a list of progressive businesses and business leaders who are willing to participate in pilot projects and other Learning for Work initiatives. This initiative spans a broad spectrum of small, medium and large businesses, across various sectors.
